“I love photography”, that is what I thought as I snapped a few photos of my sister and Tay having some fun time. During this mini session I was putting into practice what I have learned in the photography workshop, which is finding the light indoors even in not so perfect conditions. In this case, my living room is NOT the best place. Not much light comes in, so I opened the door and woala, light! So much to learn, always 🙂
As far as editing goes, I am still in search of what works for me. Sometimes I like the vintage look, sometimes the whimsy washed out look and like this session here, sometimes I just want to keep it clean and simple :). However, when outside I tend to gravitate towards warmer tones and I also play around with lightroom presets. My favorites? One Willow Presets. I started a photoshop trial and I gave up on it. When I first purchased Lightroom it just seemed so much faster to get into the groove of things, not much of a learning curve, but with photoshop? well, maybe later. Right now, I think I will continue to concentrate on learning exposure, metering, “seeing the light” and so on :).
There are countless presets and editing software out there and in the end is what works for you and the style that makes YOU happy.
