“Is it real? am I really here? ….. Bonjour Pareee!!!” This is one of my favorite quotes from an Audrey Hepburn movie “Funny Face” and I could here my self repeating those words every moment during our first day in Paris. What can I say, it was nothing I expected, in fact, I honestly thought Paris was over rated. How terribly wrong was I!! Paris is everything I have heard and much more. I do have to differ on one thing, Parisians (as far as our experience went) were VERY friendly. We didn’t experience any snobbery or rude people. The food from local vendors delicious, the crepes to DIE for!! and the croissants … O.M.G!! I will NEVER look at the american croissant the same 😉 Once you taste the french croissant, you will never go back! 🙂
Yes, my friends, I have converted. We are now another couple completely enamored with this city of lights and CANNOT wait to go back … SOON!!
Everywhere you look, everywhere you turn, there is history, old and beautiful buildings. It’s like time stands still.
We took the metro everywhere. It was easy and inexpensive to get around. Of course, we did lots of walking too 🙂
A highlight you ask? Visiting this lovely city for the first time with a good, good old friend, Keren 🙂
Here is the color version of this photo I posted earlier.
Francis posando como siempre!
Keren and David did visit the Louvre. Francis and I only saw the outside. One really has to choose what you REALLY want to see, since one spot can literally take one entire day or more. Francis and I decided to visit Notredame instead. I really wanted to see the colorful stained glass. More on that on a later post!
Ok, ladies, I have to comment on the MOST comfortable walking shoes EVER! I really wanted to take flats, but most of them are not made for walking ALL day, so I decided to try Easy Spirit 360 shoes. I was able to wear them all day while second shooting at a wedding, and they past the test. My feet were not tired at all. So, I highly recommend them! oh! and they come in many cute colors 😉
Next time.
No me hacia ilación.
