Knitting 101 & other hobbies

October 24, 2018

I have always wanted to learn to knit, so when I found out about Wool and the Gang I wanted to give it a try.  They have kits and online easy tutorials.  I started (and ended) with the Snood Operator and even thought I had THE hardest time getting the hang of it, when I finally got it, it was SOOOO stress releaving! 🙂  I love knitting!  However, since I finished the project, I haven’t picked up my needles again 🙁  I do plan to continue though, so I saved them.

I’ve recently donated my jewelry making tools.  I’ve realized that I have enough with two or three hobbies at a time, especially since I can get a little carried away and only start projects without finishing :/  I love learning new things, but limiting my hobbies to knitting, watercolor and my hobby turned business -Photography – can help me stay a bit more focused and REALLY finishing projects I start.  OH! I almost forgot, does sewing count as a hobby?  I recently bought my sewing machine with the intention of hemming and doing small clothing repairs, and it’s been great!  I do plan to keep it inside the house, not in the garage, otherwise I will NEVER use it!

How about you?  Do you ever feel that you take on too many hobbies at a time?
