White, white, white, EVERYWHERE!! I was in heaven! Many of you already know I have this crazy, over the top love for white. If I could have my house all in white with an abundance of bright light illuminating every little corner, I would. But, I don’t own a home to make of it what I wish, so I have gone as far as I can with the white ๐ I have white couches (yes, even with Downey, or dog) our room is pretty much, ummm, white. Our bathroom towels, curtain, mats, all white… and hey! even Downey! totally white! HA!
Anyway, I never thought I would ever get to see this little corner of the earth called Mikonos. It is beautiful. If this is beautiful, I cannot imagine what Santorini is like! That island we will have to visit another time, but for now, here is a little bit of this unique and truly breathtaking island. Enjoy!
We got to this port early in the morning and started our walk down to the little town around 7:30am. We only had until 2 or 3pm, so we tried to see as much as we could, and at the same time take it all in ๐
Cars need to be really little here. The streets are REALLY narrow!
When I saw these little blue chairs, I was like “pinch me, pinch me” Couldn’t believe we were here!
Love the simplicity of everything. White, with just one accent color.
Loved the shutters
Ahhhh, sooo beautiful ๐ I wouldn’t mind spending a few thousand years here in the greek islands when we get to the new world ๐
Yeap, got my self a summer dress SPECIALLY for Mikonos! oh yeah! I wanted to “blend in” haha
“Eva’s Garden”, one day it will be Rosa’s Garden ๐
Loved how the streets were traced in white and seeing older generations going about their daily activities, like this lady and her shopping bag ๐
and here is Francis ๐
We could play hide and seek in these streets that felt more like a maze ๐
Oh you knowโฆ just chillin’
This is one of those photos of the greek islands we see all the time, and here I took my very own ๐
The cats of Mikonos. They are everywhere!
How cute is this little corner house?!!
This house had quite the garden
It really felt like walking in a completely different world. Amazing where travel can take you. Being in different surroundings and going out of your comfort zone can open our eyes to so many new things, places, food, people and way of living. And everything get’s even better when you add the fact that we have friends in so many of countries serving the same God and who will be there to serve as our tourist guides in the new world ๐
This part was reaching the end of our day ๐
Carpenter working on a door.
Cute details
And me trying to make it into at least a few photos ๐
This little window below makes me happy.
More shops along this pretty street
We stopped for some lunch, and forgot to take a photo of our REAL Gyro ๐
Us, making memories ๐
And now back to the ship. Such a brief day trip. Definitely worth coming back and staying at least a whole week. Have you ever been? What’s your dream destination?
