We really loved Portland! We would go back in a heartbeat and stay a bit longer. The days we drove up here, we were expecting rainy weather, so when it rained on the day we took our walking tour, we weren’t completely bummed. During that walking tour it rained enough that I didn’t want to be pulling my camera in and out of my bag, so here are only a few photos during a pretty sunny day when we went to take a look at a few beautiful waterfalls and the Columbia Gorge. I’ll try to share some other photos Francis took with our point and shoot π
So many good things about Portland. For one, people are VERY friendly, restaurants and good food abound, it’s pedestrian friendly and did I mention … Tax Free! We didn’t do much shopping during this trip, but it was nice to see little to no tax while eating out π So, is it worth to pay Portland a visit? Most definitely…. YES!!
We stayed at the Best Western Hotel, where on the last day my iPad was briefly stolen but was eventually turned in π
Hard to believe that with clear skies the next day it would rain non stop π
Can you tell I liked this tunnel?!! π
We visited Powells bookstore of course! to say it was BIG is ann understatement.
Strolled around in the evening surrounded by beautiful light and had a nice dinner at Henry’s Tavern.
