It was Gaby’s FIRST time wine tasting as an official adult! (we are still pretty surprised she didn’t get carded ONCE! .. hmmm) We took a day trip to Napa and hit our favorite wineries, aside for one new one. Weather was beautiful and the company perfect.
During this trip I finally had the chance to try out some Kodak Portra 400 film for the first time, and I LOVED it! For one, true to what I have read about it, there is no need to over expose as much like one tends to do with Fuji 400H. Normally when I have shot Fuji, for my liking I normally over expose up to 2 full stops. I kept Portra over 1/3 to 1 stop over and no more. I did take a couple shots at 1 1/2 to 2 stops over, but it does end up with this yellow cast (not pretty). Gaby was nice enough to model for me, and she is quite the natural!
