Abbi and I met in the most interesting way. A friend of mine getting married, asked me if we could host a couple coming for their wedding from Texas. Of course, we love hosting friends, but when my friend told me she was also a photographer, well, I didn’t need to ask anymore questions really…haha. When my friend sent me Abbi’s photo, I immediately recognized her husband Ivan! Francis and I had not seen Ivan in over 10 years! To find out that Ivan had married the sweetest of girls, well, it made us very happy. Abbi is the face behind Cupcake Photography and Ivan is her second shooter. She is an AMAZING wedding photographer based in Texas. Since the moment I saw her blog, I knew we were going to get along just fine! Having Abbi around for a few days, helped me realize a lot of things. Among them, that doing more of what I enjoy so much (photography) can become a reality, and that it has value, a value that I myself had not been able to see. I’m slowly starting to clear my mind of many doubts, fears, insecurities and the question of “am I good enough?” Well, if being good enough is as good as capturing a couple’s love or as good as capturing a mother’s excitement from expecting her first baby, well… than I am good enough!
