Veronica : Maternity on Film

July 29, 2013

I am SOOO happy that I got to shoot this maternity session for my long time friend Veronica 🙂  She is due any day now!!  Like any first time mom, she’s got so many feelings mixed up inside, anxiously awaiting the arrival of her baby girl.  I could not let her go without some pretty photos for her to remember this special moment in her life.
I decided to shoot this session solely on Film -yeah, NO digital- I only had 30 exposures left, so as you can imagine, I was slowly thinking about my composition, lighting and metering.  However, there I was shooting at 160iso when my film was actually 400iso!!  Sigh!  I had the roll of film all packaged and ready to go to Richard Photo Lab when I realized my mistake.  I decided to take it to a local lab instead, hoping for decent images.  I always over expose when I shoot film, so that pretty much saved me 🙂 All the images were fine. I did have to color adjust and brighten some photos just a tad, but other than that they were just fine.  I think I would have been fine sending to the film out, but there is always a next time.
Beautiful mom to be!
