This is what 15 years of marriage looks like for us. We chose Charleston, SC to have our second Anniversary session and we couldn’t be happier! We had our 12 year anniversary session in SF, and yes, it sure takes us out of our comfort zone by being in a position where we “have to” cuddle, kiss, hold hands and you know, all that cheesy stuff…haha. But, you know what!? Who cares! These photos are a good reminder that after 15 years, we continue to love one another, appreciate and enjoy each-others company. These photos are priceless for us and we thank Lauren Jonas for capturing us so well!
When I was younger and would hear of couples saying they were 10, 15 or twenty years married, I would think; “Wow! That sure is a long time!” but, now that we have hit that 15 year mark, it doesn’t seem long at all! 🙂 We’ve grown together in many ways, and although many might say 15 is not long YET and that we’ve still got a long way to go, we believe it, but we also know that we are already starting to see each other change and appreciate one another on a whole other level. Is marriage easy? Well, let me just say that I can’t really say it’s been hard. On the contrary – I think I can speak for Francis here 😉 – we continue to have a strong foundation that has helped us overcome the little and the big things that EVERY marriage goes through – personality faults, financial stressors, health issues, etc. – There is absolutely no doubt in our minds, that putting our Creator in first place and doing things His way has kept our marriage strong and happy 🙂
Do I recommend Anniversary sessions!? I do, wholeheartedly!
