Colorful, that is how any part of Mexico is :). I took several photos including a mini couple session 🙂 but I will make three separate posts since they kinda differ from one another so stay tuned! On Saturday morning we flew into San Diego and our friend showing that mexican hospitality picked us up, although I did mention that I was kinda sorta a little excited about taking the trolley, but hey, I didn’t mind the door to door service at all 😉 (Thanks Israel!)
Our friends have been living in Playas de Tijuana for about a year now and my family and I actually lived in Tijuana for about 4 years or so when I was about in 2nd grade up until 6th grade. Graduated and moved to the Bay area. Did I like it there? well, I was young and carefree, so no, I didn’t mind at all. I do recognize the fact that if it wasn’t for my education in Mexico, my spanish would probably not had been the same. The majority of my mothers side of the family lives there and sadly I don’t visit as much as I would like to :(. As for being so close to the border, back in the day, crossing the border was as swift as a bird, BUT NOW?!! it can be horrendous! It can take a VERY, VERY long time. The downtown area is not what it used to be, it seems lonely and sad. Well, and then again, the times have changed and sadly not for the better. On a happier note… food is still DELICIOUS!!! I took some photos of some yummy plates but with my iPhone which I will add to this post 🙂 – hope I don’t get anyone hungry!-
When we arrived and Sunday it was was raining, but I didn’t mind at all. When in good company nothing rains on my parade 🙂

El Sábado por la mañana volamos a San Diego, CA y nuestro amigo -mostrando esa hospitalidad mexicana :)- nos recogido del aeropuerto, aunque le mencioné que estaba con ilusión de tomar en Trolley, pero bueno, no me importo el servicio de puerta a puerta 🙂 (Gracias Israel!)
Nuestros amigos has estado viviendo en Playas de Tijuana ya por casi un año y yo con mi familia vivimos ahí por mas o menos 4 años, desde que estaba en 2ndo grado hasta que termine de cursar 6to. Me gradué y nos mudamos al área de la bahía. ¿Me gusto vivir ahí? bueno, estaba niña y sin preocupaciones así que no, no me importaba vivir ahí, es más, como aun tengo familia de parte de mi mamá viviendo ahí, me gustaría ir mas seguido. Algo que reconozco es que si no fuera por la educación en México, no creo que mi español fuera el mismo. En cuanto a estar tan cerca de la frontera, del 1992 para atrás cruzar la frontera era súper fácil y rápido, pero ahora?!!! es HORRIBLE! puede llegar a tomar horas y horas cruzar. En cuanto al centro de Tijuana, me parece triste y solo, pero bueno, los tiempos han cambiado y lamentablemente no para bien. En fin, lo que NO cambia es la comida, sigue siendo DELICIOSA!!! Tome algunas fotos pero con mi iphone la cual aparece abajo 🙂 -espero que no les entre antojo!-
Aunque llovió durante nuestra visita, no importo. Cuando uno esta en buena compañia, nada nos aguada la fiesta 🙂 }

Red Chilaquiles with eggs, Huevos Rancheros and ummm… what was that Israel? sorry, I forgot, maybe I should have tasted it so it would have made a stronger impression.. lol 😉
