Grandma

October 10, 2012

I can stare at this photo of my grandmother for quite a while.  I admire her, I truly do.  Oh! how time has a way of helping you appreciate your loved ones on such a different level.  I don’t visit her much (she lives in Mexico) and when I do visit, my stay is usually brief.  I remember I went to visit earlier this year, I hadn’t seen her in over maybe 2 or 3 years.  When I saw her I got this aching feeling  inside, a feeling of sadness to see the marks of the years grown deeper into her skin, her memory slowly going and her sight barely there.  Can’t wait for that new world where we will no longer grow old, get sick or die – Isaiah 65:20-25.
To this day we will never see her with a single grey hair! She says that although she is old, the least she can do keep her hair looking fresh 🙂
