Happy Friday everyone! Here is a little snippet of what went on a couple of weeks ago in my home. Raquel is the face behind Raquel Gunther Photography, and I have to tell you, she is AWESOME at capturing children and families! I have always been of the opinion that when it comes to photography, just because we know composition, the technicalities of using a camera, or the use of light, etc.. it doesn’t mean that we can be good at EVERY type of photography. I for example, I have come to learn that although I love photography, I am not great at shooting just anything. Ask me to shoot landscapes or stills and I will get totally inspired shooting them in film. When it comes to children and families, to be honest, it inspires me more when I know the kids and family personally, it’s just the way it is and it’s fine with me (Raquel here, is the pro in this department!). When it comes to macro photography, well, the expert on that I would have to say is my brother! Although I love this kind of photography, it’s not something I shoot. However, ask me to photograph a couple in love, a portrait session, or a lovely maternity session and I am all IN! I LOVE working with people, especially in these types of scenarios. It inspires me, the moment just flows and I ENJOY it, which it’s why I keep this hobby as a hobby 🙂
As for Raquel here, she will undoubtedly grow in her business, and if I were you I’d book her ASAP for that family session you have been wanting for some time now. I’ll sound like a commercial, but really, set aside how expensive it would be, how there is no time, or whatever else stops you from hiring a photographer. It.is.worth it!
