We finally did it!! My mom Estela, my sister Gloria and I got together to host our very first handmade jewelry show which was AWESOME! I’m so grateful to be part of a family full of creatives!! When my mother was younger (along with two of her siblings) she leaned to make bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, bridal headpieces, etc.. all completely handmade with wax and other sorts of material. My mother didn’t continue, but my aunt and uncle continue this business in mexico and continue to be successful at it. I especially remember helping my aunt prepare pearl strands and other little things that would end up being part of a special bridal headpiece or bridal bouquet. Little did I know that those little things would be with me long after, somehow leaving a strong impression on me. My sister and my other two brothers also have a creative side. I don’t think there is anything my sister does not make, my younger brother loves working with leather and other materials and my other brother is also a photographer, so I guess all this makes all of us quite the creative bunch! 🙂
By all means, God is the greatest creative there is and by making us in his image, there is no doubt that we ALL have a creative side, we just need to find it and go with it. So, have you found your creative side? 🙂
Here I leave you with a few photos from the night, but not before mentioning that I am SO grateful to Dragonfly Designs for teaching us well!
