It’s been a few weeks since this lovely wedding, and I still have fond memories of it. I was nervous (as always) second shooting and always expect so much of my self, especially when I shoot for someone as talented as Anna. It’s nice to look back at these photos and see how I can continue to improve. It’s a lot more different than when I shoot for my self. Shooting for someone else, I tend to get to wrapped up with what they would want to see, or what kind of images they would want, that I forget to just shoot how I normally do and not worry too much. This was also the first time in a LONG time that I drove by my self to an unknown and more than 45 minutes away city. I was a little apprehensive, but it was all good π
Although I don’t shoot weddings on my own any more, I SO enjoy shooting pretty things for my own enjoyment and personal fulfillment. After all, this is my outmost favorite hobby!
Some of my favorite things is getting to see new wedding venues and seeing the end product of months of planning by the couple. This wedding took place at Diablo Ranch in Walnut Creek. This venue was BEAUTIFUL and completely breathtaking, especially at sunset π So, who ever says having a wedding at a barn is crazy, well, they haven’t seen THIS barn!
It was a simple and sweet wedding. Loved the pinwheel details and the soft colors. This venue already had a lot of character, so not much needed in terms of decor.
I am always a fan of handwritten personal messsages
Love this take on a non-traditional wedding guest book form Etsy
The venue had a pool surrounding the area, which made the place feel like an oasis in the middle of the mountains.
Loved the flowers randomly scattered on in the pool π
Lanterns can make any place feel festive in a minute!
Cocktail hour can be pleasant in this place at any time, for sure!
Coming down the hill from the reception area you fin yourself in this cute spot overlooking the mountains. I thought the swing was perfect, and it comes with the venue π
Perfect background for a first look
This couple was very sweet and down to earth. You could tell they were all about comfort and making their guests feel very welcome and appreciated.
ok, so I thought this was THE coolest detail. Flowers were bought at a local store and put together by the girls. See! who needs a florist?!!
The bomb!!
You see!! this view!!
Going down to the ceremony sight.
Anna on her way, ready to shoot away…
What a view for a ceremony!
Anna always manages to be so calm and collected while shooting, and I like that, especially with all the running around that goes on in a wedding day.
I think this bottom photo is my favorite.
Goodness⦠how beautiful is this light coupled with a bride and groom?!
Love!
Their first dance was beautifully choreographed π
The end. Such a beautiful wedding this was π
