It sure has taken me a while to share these photos I took a month ago! It did take me a while, mostly because every time I would sit down and start writing, I would again look through these photos and immediately I was reminded of my maternal grandmother who passed away last month. Not only did I loose a beloved family member, but so did other friends ๐ Although moments like these remind me of the brevity of life, it also reminds me that while we live, we must do everything to make ourselves a good name before Jehovah. How sad it is to lose a loved one. But how comforting to know that we will see them again. Here are a few photos that now remind me that life goes on, and that we must continue on for those that survive our loved ones.
I love this image below. My aunt who never sits still, was feeling very blue after my grandmother passed and needed plenty rest. This is the second close family member that we loose and seeing my family deal with loss is heartbreaking. When I visited, we would just lay there for hours, in silence while Mimi (the cute maltese) could not be more happier laying next to her. She is doing much better now.
I managed to take her to San Diego for a little stroll to distract her a little bit ๐
Visiting my cousins reminded me that I have … COUSINS!! ๐
My other aunt looking pretty … and that photo on the right, she totally looks like Lucy from I Love Lucy! HA! So pretty ๐
Brunch! .. Yummy!
On my almost last day I spent it with my cousin Lirio who live in sunny San Diego.
Got back home to a nice welcoming from Francis and our next door neighbors ๐ .. I guess I was REALLY missed! HA!
One can NEVER have enough Tpumps .. If only the line wasn’t SO loooong!
Spent some time with my lovelies ๐ They are growing up so fast ๐
Our garden. Mind you this was taken a month ago! and those plants on the right are non existent ๐ They never produced my long awaited Zucchinis :(( sniff, sniff.
Got myself a pretty paper towel holder ๐
No post is complete without Pookie! Again, this was a month ago and now his hair has gone crazy again!
Tried doing a self portrait a day for 30 days … I gave up.. it’s just too weird doing constant selfies, just not like me ..haha
Did a maternity session completely on film and can’t wait to do that again!
I HAD to capture Isa signing during song ๐
Botchy is not my kind of game ๐
I should have gotten this frame .. haha!
So, we had the privilege of again helping out during one of the pioneer schools with one dish and table decor. My friend Em and I went to the SF flower market and got some pretty flower bunches! Made use of my Mason jars again ๐
After the flower market we headed for some yummy brunch at The Butler & The Chef
The finished product ๐
Serving some hungry pioneers and a few pretty girls pictured ๐
Our friend Nina threw Ethan a Dr. Seuss themed Preschool graduation party which was a BLAST! We did a mini photo booth and it was a hit!
A long time friend passed last month as well, so we were more than happy to be with her family during the memorial service. Although a sad occasion, it reminded me that Jehovah has blessed us with friends that come together to comfort us in times of sadness, and it also reminds me that just like it brings us great joy to see those who we have not seen in a while, it will be an even GREATER joy to see our loved ones once again in paradise.
Stress, sadness and feeling low always makes me clean, organize and just keep busy. So I did a little mini re-decorating ๐
Hope the past few weeks for you have been filled with many memorable moments too ๐
