I wanted to have some fun this past Saturday when I rented a film camera, so when these two beautiful friends of mine were up to doing a little modeling I got a little more excited! And I have every right to be, I mean really, just look at these beauties! I had a hard time picking favorites π These here were taken with my digital camera (I’ll share some of the film images later).
Here are a little photography related things I learned. First off, when I got home I noticed that I took all of these images in Jpeg format and I was sort of freaking out. A lot is said about the advantages of shooting RAW, but when I saw the images and how spot on my exposures were, I was totally SO proud of my self!! Yay! for shooting manual and with available light only π
When it comes to my style of photography, I also learned that as I continue to shoot more and more, I am slowly beginning to notice what I tend to gravitate towards as far as lighting and editing. These images here are VERY close to what I want to continuously achieve. I love bright but soft images and really enjoy adding a soft, warm vintage feel on SOME of the images, however not all of them. I find it hard to stick to ONE style of editing since there are images that to me simply call for something more to make them POP! π These two soft variations in editing I am totally loving and feel that it is very ME.
Marz and Tania, I hope you love these images as much as I loved taking them and editing them. Love you girls!!
