THIS happened in Paris and we are so happy that we planned for it!
Early on in our vacation planning, I knew that unless I made it a goal to appear in more photos it would end up being like other times, where I am barely seen anywhere, or where we are shot solo ๐ This time I wanted more photos of US, photos of us TOGETHER, and not just us taking photos of each other separately. Aside from that plan, I went a little further and started a search for a local photographer in Paris, so we could bring back with us a very special session of our first time in Paris.
Granted, it wasn’t easy finding a photographer in Paris (yeah, I’m kinda picky), most of them were not particularly my style and some took for EVER to reply. I wanted something simple, timeless and “unposed”. Googling a photographer gave me so many blah options, but thankfully I bumped into Catherine from Catherine O’hara Photography through another photographer for whom she was second shooting. I immediately loved her style, she was very prompt at responding and booking her was easy. We had arrived in Paris the night before (close to midnight) and we didn’t know how on earth we would be able to get up for the session at 6am! But we did it! and it was worth it. Here are a few of our favorites. And now, time to frame some ๐
Seeing Paris at sunrise was and continues to be unforgettable.
Hooray for Francis!! He got up at the crack of dawn for this. As many of you know, he is NOT a morning person, but you would never know with these photos ๐
Francis and I LOVED our photos! It’s hard not to look back at these images and not feel so grateful for US, that we get to travel, enjoy each others company and experience new things and places happily together.
Catherine, thanks a million for these beautiful photos!!
Side note: We dedicate this post to Franci’s hat (pictured here), which was sadly left behind in Switzerland. May these photos remind him always of how it kept his little head warm and looking sharp, even while in Paris ๐
